Last Lent I chose to read Meditations for Lent by St. Thomas Aquinas and really loved it. The daily meditations are the perfect length, his writings are clear and insightful, plus it starts with the old pre-Lenten season called Septuagesima. I also recommend Benedictus by our current Holy Father-fantastic! One could easily read both.   Meditations for Lent from St. Thomas Aquinas, by Saint Aquinas Thomas, ?, translated by Philip Hughes (London: Sheed & Ward, ). With Imprimatur. With Imprimatur.
